All travelers have that one thing they pride themselves on. For some, it’s budgeting. For others, it’s finding that unique restaurant in every city. But for me, it’s finding the perfect hotel. Hotel Beethoven in Vienna is no exception. It’s moderately priced, ideally located, trendy yet positively charming!

Location Hotel Beethoven

Parenthood and Passports -One Day in Vienna itineraryFirst, let’s start with the location. It is ONE block from Naschmarkt and within walking distance to Stephensplatz, Hofburg Palace and all the main tourist attractions. There is also parking located about half a block away in a secured garage. If you have a limited amount of time in Vienna, a great location is crucial which is one of the main reasons this hotel scores huge points with me.

Rooms at Hotel BeethovenParenthood and Passports - Hotel Beethoven Wien

Personally, I would recommend the minimal upgrade charge to book one of their luxury rooms. The luxury rooms are unique, large, and beautiful! Our hotel room had both a shower and large freestanding tub. A chandelier, adequate closet space with a mini fridge and comfy bedding were like icing on an already delicious cake!

Family amenities

Parenthood and Passports - Hotel Beethoven WienAlthough the hotel has a trendy, youthful vibe, it’s still very family friendly. I love this! Just because we’re parents doesn’t mean we want to vacation at a theme park. So I love a hotel that caters to both parents and children. The crib they supplied for our daughter had bedding so comfortable that under most circumstances I would be jealous, except our bedding wasn’t too bad itself. They even provided a giant stuffed cow for our daughter to play with. And play she did! She loved that thing. If it would have fit in our luggage, we probably would have tried to buy it.Parenthood and Passports - Hotel Beethoven WienParenthood and Passports - Hotel Beethoven Wien

On top of that, they have coffee all day and night in the breakfast room. There was also milk that they said we were welcome to for our daughter when we arrived late on our first night. When we got to the room, there were two complimentary full-size Vienna chocolate bars welcoming us! Anyone who knows me would tell you that chocolate (and wine) is the way to my heart. So imagine my joy when I walked into the room after a long day of traveling with a tired toddler to find two ribbon tied chocolate bars! It’s all about the small details with this hotel.Parenthood and Passports - Hotel Beethoven Wien

Complimentary Breakfast

The complimentary breakfast was amazing and the coffee was phenomenal. They have a beautiful little breakfast room, but for more privacy, especially with a toddler, I would recommend taking your breakfast across the hallway from the breakfast room into the small, quaint mezzanine patio. It’s enclosed and usually less crowded.
This will come in handy if you’re traveling with a toddler who can’t sit still very long and might bother other guests. I could see this small patio area being a great retreat for a couple looking for a romantic escape from a rambunctious toddler in the main dining area, as well.
Unfortunately, I don’t have photos of either the breakfast room or the mezzanine. When you travel with a toddler, you forget things, like taking pictures for your travel blog.

Staff at Hotel BeethovenParenthood and Passports - Hotel Beethoven Wien

From the front desk, to the breakfast room, the staff was exceptional and friendly. They were helpful and willing to answer question, spoke English very well, and were always smiling at us and our little girl. It truly made us feel welcome and comfortable!
Hotel Beethoven is the ideal place to stay in Vienna. It’s safe, it’s close enough to everything, but tucked away on a quiet street so there are no crowds keeping you up at night. It literally had everything I look for in a hotel. My toddler, who is hard to please at times, also approved. 🙂
What do you look for most in a hotel?

  1. The room is lovely. I really liked the bright colors. I get tired of looking at brown rooms. I hope it was as comfortable as it looks. And your little girl is getting bigger.

  2. Cute hotel, and so nice that it is centrally located. I would definitely splurge on the room upgrade.

  3. This hotel looks lovely! I love that they continue the bright red colours even into the bathroom. The breakfast sounds great too. Anywhere with good coffee is a bonus in my book!

  4. Vienna is such a beautiful city and I guess even better when you find a great place to stay like this. I love your little girl playing with the cow. The bath looks cool too!

  5. This place looks great. I loved my time in Vienna, sadly I was in a hostel though haha my budget for 3 weeks didn’t allow somewhere as nice as this. If I ever go again though I will check this place out. I can’t believe they even left a cow for your daughter! She looks like she had a great time!
